The Administrative Technical College organizes a workshop entitled “A Model for Applying Virtual Reality in Dentistry”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Administrative Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Taha Yassin, the Computer and Internet Center Division, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the college, organizes a workshop entitled “A Model for Applying Virtual Reality in Dentistry”

The winning software team in the student competition held by the French organization Expertise France in Iraq and cooperation with the University of Mosul, if the team submits a model project for applying virtual reality in dentistry Dental virtual box (inbox)

The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, the Head of the Electronic Management Technologies Department, and several faculty and students of the College.

The workshop aimed to:

Shedding light on modern technologies (Virtual Reality), the areas of their use and the prospects for working with them in the local and global market, and how to link them to reality to produce useful and valuable practical projects.

Enhancing youth job skills and developing their capabilities by giving them opportunities to test different work environments through the use of modern technologies (Virtual Reality), thus supporting their career paths that keep pace with the labor market.

The workshop recommended the following:

Investing virtual reality technology in creating interactive educational activities based on digital simulation.

The necessity of using time and effort to create pioneering and practical projects and ideas of great benefit to society.

Supporting the process of building participatory knowledge through teamwork between individuals using virtual reality technology.

– The necessity of holding workshops and courses for students and researchers of virtual reality techniques to present and exchange ideas and brainstorm that creates projects that can be effective and feasible.
