Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Administrative Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Taha Yassin
The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the college, in cooperation with the Reach Organization, organized a training course on first aid for the period from 21-22/9/2022.
The course aimed to:
Introducing first aid and its objectives, training participants on the correct first aid methods in emergency situations, and raising awareness of the importance of first aid that can be applied at home and in public places, would prevent the patient from doubling the condition and contribute to saving lives.
The course dealt with:
- An explanation of how to resuscitate the heart and measure its pulse.
- Types of poisoning and ways to deal with each case.
- Identify the types of burns and methods of treatment and relief.
- How to measure the vital signs in cases of fainting in the patient.
- How to measure blood pressure and measure blood sugar.
The course demonstrated the importance of providing the necessary medical care and first aid methods for people suffering from fainting, burns, poisoning, shocks, drowning, and fractures due to accidents in daily life.
