Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar,
and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical College of Administration / Mosul, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raafat Assi Al-Obaidi,
the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the Technical College of Administration / Mosul organized a field visit to Sinjar District, with the participation of a number of students, as part of its programs aimed at enhancing humanitarian and national awareness.

The visit aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to sites associated with the genocide committed against the Yazidi community, helping them understand the scale of human suffering, strengthen empathy, and foster a sense of social responsibility through direct field experience.

The visit also included awareness sessions highlighting the importance of religious and cultural diversity in Iraqi society, the need to promote peaceful coexistence, acceptance of others, and the rejection of extremism and violence, as essential foundations for building a cohesive society based on mutual respect and human values.

This visit reflects the College’s commitment to its educational and community role, enhancing students’ psychological and ethical awareness, and aligning with the mission of Northern Technical University in serving society, promoting a culture of peace, and reinforcing social harmony.
