Northern Technical University Signs an Academic Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

As part of enhancing academic and research cooperation between educational institutions, Northern Technical University held an official meeting with the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, resulting in the signing of an academic memorandum of understanding covering several fields aimed at achieving the mutual interests of both universities and their members.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, accompanied by Dr. Omar Hazim, Head of the Francophone Corner Unit. They were welcomed by the leadership of the University of Sharjah, including:

– Prof. Dr. Hamid Majoul Al-Naimi – President of the University
– Prof. Dr. Qutaiba Hamid – Vice President for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of the College of Medicine
– Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Sufyan – Director of the International Relations Office
– Prof. Dr. Mohamed Adel Sarhani – Deputy Director of the International Relations Office
– Dr. Bashair Mohamed Mousa – Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Acting Head of the International Exchange Department in the International Relations Office

The meeting discussed ways to collaborate in the fields of scientific research, exchange of academic experiences, joint training, and student and faculty exchange programs. Both parties also discussed mechanisms for developing academic and research programs that serve the strategic priorities of both universities.

Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar confirmed that this agreement represents an important step towards strengthening academic relations between the two universities, noting that the cooperation will contribute to the development of educational and research programs and enhance the academic competencies of students and researchers. She also praised the pioneering role of the University of Sharjah as a distinguished academic institution at both regional and international levels.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Hamid Majoul Al-Naimi expressed his happiness at signing the memorandum of understanding with Northern Technical University, affirming the university’s commitment to enhancing academic partnerships that enrich knowledge and develop academic and administrative staff at both institutions.

The memorandum of understanding includes several collaborative activities, including organizing joint workshops, exchanging research and studies, joint supervision of scientific research, and developing joint research projects.

This cooperation is part of the ongoing efforts of Northern Technical University to build international academic partnerships that enhance the quality of higher education and open new horizons for students and faculty members to gain experiences and expand research opportunities.
