In line with her efforts to strengthen cooperation with government and service departments, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, visited the Municipality of Mosul, where she was received by the Mayor of Mosul, Engineer Muhammad Agha, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation that would contribute to serving the city and developing its urban and service environment.

The meeting discussed a number of files of common interest, particularly those related to supporting the infrastructure of educational institutions and leveraging the university’s academic and engineering expertise in the service of reconstruction and development projects in the city of Mosul. The meeting also emphasized the importance of integration between academic institutions and executive departments to achieve sustainable development goals and serve the local community.

During the meeting, the University President affirmed the Northern Technical University’s commitment to building bridges of cooperation with various state institutions, thereby enhancing the university’s academic and societal role. Meanwhile, the Mayor of Mosul praised the significant role the university plays in supporting the governorate and providing it with scientific expertise and specialized competencies.

At the conclusion of the visit, both sides expressed their hope for continued joint cooperation and the implementation of projects and initiatives that serve the city of Mosul and its people.
