The President of Northern Technical University participated in the meeting of the Opinion Authority.

The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research emphasized the path of quality and the completion of the inter-university standardized assessment examination.

Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, participated in the meeting of the Opinion Authority, which was chaired by the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hah Lo Al-Askari, and attended by its members, including senior officials and presidents of public universities.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of quality and its direct impact on improving educational outcomes, keeping pace with global developments, enhancing academic reputation, producing scientific research and ensuring its presence in international databases and indexing platforms, as well as promoting governance, improving institutional performance, and responding to the requirements of modern education.

During its fourth session, the Opinion Authority approved the items listed on the agenda, including:

* Completing the scientific and logistical procedures related to the inter-university ministerial standardized examination for both public and private universities in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, health and medical technologies, engineering and engineering technologies, law, administrative and economic sciences, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity for the academic year 2025–2026.
* Approving the adoption of a new mechanism for evaluating academic staff seconded from other ministries, starting from the academic year 2026–2027.
* Observing the legal authorities granted in making decisions regarding the suspension of university attendance in Iraqi governorates.

The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hah Lo Al-Askari, concluded the meeting by recommending that universities and their councils enhance community service through research programs and projects aligned with sustainable development goals.
