Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical College of Administration / Mosul, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raafat Assi Hussein Al-Obaidi, the Quality Assurance Division, in cooperation with the Department of Business Administration Technologies, organized an external online lecture entitled:

“The Role of the RCA Strategy in Eliminating Root Causes Rather Than Chasing Symptoms”

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Rami Hikmat Al-Hadeethi from the University of Bradford, during which he presented the concept of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and highlighted its importance in diagnosing administrative and organizational problems and addressing them at their root causes. This approach contributes significantly to improving institutional performance and supporting quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements.

The lecture witnessed active participation and interaction from academic and administrative staff, reflecting the scientific rigor of the presentation and the practical examples provided, which emphasized the importance of adopting the RCA strategy as an effective tool for development and continuous improvement.

This activity comes within the framework of the external programs implemented by the Quality Assurance Division, in line with the university’s orientation toward academic openness and enhancing the utilization of international scientific expertise.
