Department of Prosthetics in the Technical Institute-Al-Dur, Northern Technical University organized an online symposium on the life threatening parasites, the Faculty Member in the College, Dr. Maqsoud Adil Mahmoud said.

Dr. Mahmoud added that the online symposium reviewed the parasites in general and parasites of malaria and visceral Leishmaniasis in particular.

Dr. Mahmoud demonstrated that the online symposium highlighted the life cycle and the insects that transmit the parasites, methods of prevention and treatment, the necessity of not to travel to the affected areas, the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
