Northern Technical University signs a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Soran University.

Northern Technical University announced the signing of a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Soran University in Erbil Governorate, with the aim of strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two parties.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Northern Technical University by its president Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and on behalf of Soran University by its President, Assistant Professor Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, in the presence of several department directors from the university presidency. The agreement includes several points , including:
– Exchange of academic and administrative expertise through holding joint workshops.
– Implementation of joint research projects in advanced fields, including engineering, renewable energy, and information technology.
– Organization of annual scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops involving professors and students from both universities.
– Supporting the publication of research in high-quality international journals and aiming to establish joint scientific journals.
– Encouraging student exchange through field training programs and academic twinning, which contribute to enhance the capacity of young researchers.
Dr. Alia Al-Attar emphasized that the agreement represents “a qualitative step towards an integrated and sustainable partnership,” noting that cooperation with Soran University will advance scientific research and enhance academic quality in Kurdistan and Nineveh.
For his part, the President of Soran University, Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, expressed his pride in the “constructive cooperation that opens new areas for knowledge exchange and sharing of experiences between the two universities.”
It is worth noting that Northern Technical University has previously signed joint scientific cooperation agreements with reputable universities as part of efforts to strengthen academic twinning and develop the technical education and research system in Iraq.
