Northern Technical University Participates in Ministerial Meeting to Enhance International Academic Cooperation and Erasmus+ Programs

Northern Technical University took part in a ministerial meeting organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, International and Arab Organizations Division – Erasmus Projects Unit, with the participation of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Romania, alongside several Iraqi universities invited to attend the meeting.
The university was represented by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, in the presence of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.
The meeting discussed mechanisms to strengthen academic cooperation with Eastern European countries and expand international partnerships in line with the Ministry’s orientation toward openness to European and global programs.
It also reviewed available opportunities within European Union programs, particularly Erasmus+, and emphasized the importance of establishing effective cooperation channels that contribute to the development of the institutional and scientific capacities of Iraqi universities.
The meeting concluded with several key recommendations, most notably:
Preparing applications for Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects
Readiness to participate in the European Horizon program
Preparing a comprehensive institutional profile for Northern Technical University to enhance its competitiveness in international projects
This participation reflects Northern Technical University’s commitment to strengthening its academic standing and expanding its international presence in support of advancing education and scientific research in accordance with global standards.
