Our Northern Technical University participated in a workshop organized by Mercy Corps in cooperation with the Human Generation Triangle Organization in Erbil Governorate, represented by the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Al-Attar, accompanied by the Director of the Construction and Projects Department and a number of the department’s employees in the expanded workshop organized by Mercy Corps In cooperation with the Human Generation Triangle Organization in Erbil. The workshop was attended by the governor of Erbil, the governor of Salah al-Din, the first deputy governor of Nineveh, Mr. Sirwan Rogbiani, several directors of service and agricultural departments in the provinces of Nineveh and Salah al-Din, and members of farmers’ associations.
The workshop focused on the second Perma project, which is an extension of the first Perma project, which was implemented by the aforementioned organizations and in cooperation with several Nineveh governorate departments. The university fish hatchery project is part of this project, and the Perma project is considered one of the long-term projects concerned with the agricultural sector, livestock, and irrigation systems in the governorates of Nineveh and Salah al-Din. The President of the University spoke with the Governor of Salah al-Din and the First Deputy Governor of Nineveh, and they discussed the projects of the Northern Technical University to be implemented by the governorates of Nineveh and Salah al-Din.
