Northern Technical University participates in a specialized workshop on media and news writing.

Under the guidance of Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the president of the Northern Technical University, the university participated in a specialized workshop titled “Media and News Writing,” organized by Cowater within “Izdiharuk” program in Basra from October 29 to 31, 2024, with the participation of several Iraqi universities. Representatives from the Southern Technical University, the Middle Technical University, and Al-Furat Al-Awsat University attended the workshop.

Northern Technical University was represented by Mr. Meti Abdullah Yaqoob and Mr. Hudaifa Abdul-Munim Hazem from the Media and Government Communication Department at the university’s presidency, Mr. Abdul-Ghafour Muhammad Nuri, head of the Media Division at the Technical Engineering College in Mosul, and Mr. Abdul Aziz Abdul-Qader Saleh, head of the Training Unit in the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Security Division at the university’s presidency.

The workshop aimed to enhance the participants’ skills in the field of media, covering news writing, journalistic storytelling, and the basics of photography, in addition to exchanging experiences and knowledge among different academic institutions. This initiative is part of efforts to develop academic media and strengthen its role in serving the community.
