Northern Technical University organizes (the first job fair for the current academic year) with the participation of companies and institutions of the private sector

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the university organized the first job fair for the current academic year 2021-2022 and on the grounds of the indoor sports hall. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the University President’s Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Thanoon Younis Thanoon, and the University President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafea Mahmood, representatives of companies and private sector institutions, deans of colleges and institutes, a number of university employees and a large number of graduates.

The celebration began with the listening to the Iraqi national anthem, followed by the listening to the university’s anthem. In her welcoming speech, the university president referred to the university’s efforts in qualifying graduates, holding training courses and workshops, and preparing them to engage in the labor market.

In addition, Her Excellency praised the companies in organizing the exhibition and communicating. She also thanked the supporting parties, the preparatory and scientific committee, and everyone who contributed to the establishment of the exhibition. She pointed out the role of our university in providing job opportunities for graduates and the obstacles they face in order to achieve this goal and reduce the demand for appointment in government departments.

More than thirty companies participated in the exhibition, and through their participation, they explained the mechanism for graduates to know the offered job opportunities and how to submit their resumes and conduct personal interviews with company representatives, in which more than 300 graduates presented their experience certificates. The exhibition attracted the attention of satellite channels, news agencies, the press and a large number of our university graduates, employees and distinguished guests.

The President of the University concluded the exhibition by distributing certificates of participation to the participating private sector institutions, who expressed their willingness to cooperate in the future with our university.
