Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Women Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the University held an electronic workshop entitled (The Role of Women Empowerment and Internal Peace) delivered by the human development trainer, Mrs. Rana Husam Al-Nuaimi.

The workshop dealt with topics including:

1. Empowerment concept.
2. Empowerment goals.
3. The difference between assignment, authorization, and empowerment.
4. Economic empowerment, social empowerment, and political empowerment.
5. The relationship of money between a woman and a man.
6. The concentration of wealth in the hands of men.
7. How do you reach inner peace?
8. What do you do to reach inner peace?

The audience participated in discussing the topics interactively.

And at the end, the workshop came a set of recommendations:

• Establishing a modern intellectual system that can empower women economically and conform to Sharia.
• Organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops related to women’s affairs.
• Develop educational programs in the economic fields.
• Providing small factories through cooperation with civil society institutions and donor countries.
