Northern Technical University Organizes a Training Course on Green Education and Sustainable Development

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Aliya Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Administrative Technical College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raafat Assi Hussein Al-Ubaidi,
Northern Technical University – Administrative Technical College organized a training course entitled “Green Education and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development.”

The course was held as part of the university’s continuous efforts to enhance environmental awareness and promote sustainability concepts within both the educational and community environments.

The training addressed several important topics, including the concept of green education, its importance in achieving sustainable development, its role in building an environmentally aware generation, as well as mechanisms for integrating sustainability concepts into the educational process and daily practices within educational institutions. The course witnessed the participation of a number of faculty members and students, who showed clear interest in the subject and its significance in addressing contemporary environmental challenges.

The course aimed to promote a culture of conserving natural resources, reinforce positive environmental behaviors, and highlight the pivotal role of education in achieving a balance between development requirements and environmental protection, in line with modern trends in sustainable education.

This course comes as part of a series of scientific and awareness activities organized by the Administrative Technical College, affirming its academic and societal role in supporting sustainable development pathways and building a responsible and environmentally conscious university community.
