Northern Technical University organizes a panel discussion entitled Internet of Things on the occasion of the International Day of Girls in Information and Communication Technology

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Department of Media and Public Relations and the Women Empowerment Unit organized a panel discussion on the Internet of Things on the occasion of the International Day of Girls in ICT. Nineveh.

The Internet of Things addressed the topic of the Internet of Things:

The Internet of Things (IOT) is a term introduced in recent years to define objects that can communicate and transmit data over the Internet. “Thing” refers to a device that is connected to the Internet and transmits device information to other devices.

Where the Internet of Things provides humans with the ability to control things remotely without the need for the person to be in the same place or near the device. These technologies are useful in smart homes, sensors, and monitoring that have internet-connected devices. Using this technology has become possible to remotely control the operation and extinguish devices that work in contact with human life, such as cooling and heating devices from outside the house.

The episode included several topics:

  • (Internet Things of) – How the Internet of Things works.
  • Communication technologies in the Internet of Things.
  • The basic elements of the Internet of Things.
  • Internet of things applications.

Several university employees and students participated in the seminar. The seminar was attended by Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel Wahab Abdel Qader, Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, and several heads of departments.
