Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, and under the direct supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ashti Mahdi Aref (Dean of the Institute), and as a continuation of the campaign launched by the President of the University to reduce weapon usage, the Department of Government Media and Communication, in collaboration with the Department of Security and Monitoring and the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit, organized an educational campaign to reduce weapon carrying on Sunday, the 29th of May 2023.
The campaign included distributing posters at the entrances of the institute and affixing slogans directed at the institute’s students to discourage weapon carrying, with the aim of solidifying these slogans and promoting peaceful coexistence and rejecting violence.
Several members of the institute participated in the campaign, believing in the right to peaceful coexistence and striving for the institute to instill noble values and change some misconceptions, as a step towards improving society.
