Under the patronage and presence of the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Vice President for scientific affaires Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafi Mahmoud, the Department of Scientific Affairs/Technological Incubator Division, and in cooperation with the “Muthabaroon lilkhair wal beaa wal tanmiya” Foundation, held a workshop entitled “Producing Organic Fertilizer (Compost).”
This workshop witnessed the introduction of the project “Recycling organic waste to produce compost soil from herbs and weeds,” in addition to providing a comprehensive overview of the waste recycling process and how to transform herbs and weeds into valuable compost soil.
The workshop discussed: The stages of work in this project, including the collection of organic materials, their recycling, and fermentation processes. The focus was also on the project’s objectives, economic feasibility, and how it can contribute to achieving environmental sustainability. The workshop was also attended by the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College of Mosul and the Assistant Dean of the Technical medical Institute\ Mosul.
