The Higher Diploma research project at the College of Engineering Technology / Mosul, Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Techniques, discussed:

“The Effect of Nano Fluid Use on Performance of Solar Photovoltaic – Thermal Cells”

The study presented by the student (Ola Talal Maeyof), which was conducted on the use of Nano fluids and their high heat transfer and absorption capacity, where the thermo physical properties of Nano fluids were examined on a large scale to verify their effect on solar collectors and the performance of (PVT). It has been shown that the use of Nano fluids can enhance their performance.

The objective of the higher diploma research project:

• Further enhancing the heat transfer coefficient of the working fluid by increasing the thermal conductivity.
• Allowing the liquid to transfer a high rate of thermal energy by increasing its density and specific heat.
• Enhanced heat transfer between the liquid and the beneficiary.
• Improving the thermal and electrical efficiency of the photovoltaic system.
• Reducing the temperature of the absorber and thus protecting the material.

The discussion committee consisted of:
