Mosul Technical Institute organizes a workshop on the risks of cancerous diseases “chemotherapy”

Under the auspices of the Head of Northern Technology, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahhab Abdel-Qader, the Women Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Nineveh Health Department, organized a workshop entitled “The Risks of Cancer Diseases” “Chemical Treatment”
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Shaiban Abdul Salam from the Nineveh Health Department / Cancer Hospital in Mosul, in the presence of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, the Head of the Medical Laboratory Technologies Department, and a number of the Institute’s employees and students.
The symposium dealt with an explanation of the dangers of cancerous diseases, the problems suffered by those suffering from these diseases, and the methods of chemotherapy.
The symposium aimed to spread health awareness to all segments of society about the risks posed by these diseases, especially among students.
The symposium came out with several recommendations, including:
The need for early treatment of cancerous diseases from the moment the disease is discovered and periodic follow-up to receive treatments to mitigate the side effects that accompany the patient and prevent the spread of the disease, in addition to conducting continuous awareness campaigns for all segments of society to raise awareness about the seriousness of these diseases.
