Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies organized a workshop entitled (Laboratory Safety)

Delivered by Mr. Ahmed Ajeel Ali (Head of Senior Technical Trainers)

The workshop aimed to educate students and laboratory workers about laboratory safety.

The workshop came out with several recommendations, the most important of which are:

1. Comply with laboratory safety instructions
2. Do not leave the laboratory until after making sure that the electricity, water, and gas sources are turned off
3. Periodic follow-up of laboratory maintenance
