Mosul Technical Institute organizes a symposium on “drugs and their effects on society”

with the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahhab Abdel-Qader, the Security Permits Unit, in cooperation with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs and the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the Mosul Technical Institute, organized a scientific symposium on “Drugs and their effects on the society”
The seminar was delivered by:

  1. Colonel Firas Abdel Razzaq Saeed / Assistant Director of the Drug Control Directorate
  2. Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Fadel Haddad / Head of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department
  3. Commissioner Hana Ahmed Jassim / Community Police Directorate
    In the presence of the Dean of the Institute, the scientific and administrative assistant, several heads of departments, employees of the Institute, and students.
    The symposium dealt with:
    The negative effects left by the phenomenon of drug abuse on society and methods of treatment.
    The symposium showed:
    The abuser is not isolated from society, but rather he is a member of this society, and any negative behavior will be reflected on the entire society
    The seminar aims to:
    Educate young people and students about the dangers of taking narcotics and limiting their spread.
    The session came out with several recommendations, including:
  4. Carry out continuous awareness campaigns to reduce this dangerous phenomenon, especially among youth and students.
  5. Emphasis on choosing good friends and not mixing with those who are trusted.
  6. Not to deal with any offer to take any kind of medicine whose source is unknown.
