Under the patronage of Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdulwahab Abdulqadir, the Dean of Mosul Technical Institute, and the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Fadel Haddad, the Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies organized a seminar for students entitled “Drugs and Their Impact on the Individual and Society.”

The seminar was presented by the following individuals:

The seminar covered the following topics:

Defining the concept of drugs and their types.
Objectives:
The objectives were to raise awareness among students about the dangers of drugs, the speed of their spread, and their impact on individuals, families, and society.

Recommendations:

The role of the government or families in filling the leisure time of youth by providing sports or recreational facilities and creating job opportunities for young people.
Educational institutions should conduct informative lectures in schools, institutes, and colleges about the dangers of drug use, cyberbullying, and all other issues that affect the morals of young men and women.
Emphasizing the role of parents in monitoring and keeping their children away from family problems and bad companions as much as possible.
