Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, the Department of Water Resources Technologies held a workshop entitled “Using Subsurface Drip Irrigation Technology to Reduce Evaporation from the Soil Surface” delivered by the assistant teacher / Alaa Emad Hamid on the seminar hall, and the workshop was attended by a number of teachers and members of the department.

The workshop aimed to reduce the wastage of irrigation water by using the sub-surface drip irrigation technology and to invest the water to the maximum extent.

The workshop came out with several recommendations, including the use of drip irrigation technology under the soil surface in places with a changing topography
