Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ashti Mahdi Aref, Dean of the Kirkuk Technical Institute, the Department of Accounting Techniques organized a panel discussion on (respect for university laws and regulations as the basis of the university student) for second-year students.
The seminar dealt with:
Explanation of student discipline instructions in the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to familiarize students with university laws and instructions and what rights and duties are imposed on university students and adherence to instructions issued by the ministry and the university in this regard.
The seminar indicated:

1. Introducing students to the necessity of adhering to modest dress on campus, as well as a commitment to university ethics and not talking about anything that offends society and its unity.
   2- Avoiding all that contradicts university behavior, such as high discipline and respect for the administration, faculty, staff, fellowship relations, and cooperation among students.
2. Preserve state property and protect public money.

Informing students periodically of the instructions, laws, and regulations related to their studies and regular attendance, and identifying a mentor for each stage of study from the department’s teachers, as well as activating the role of the guidance committee, and paying attention to solving the problems faced by students through their knowledge of the laws and avoiding penalties.
4. Educating students and increasing their awareness of the law. In the event of non-compliance with the laws and instructions, the violating student will be referred to the disciplinary committees formed at the institute and the disciplinary penalties stipulated in these instructions will be imposed.
5. The student should be an important member of the university family and be an active partner in creating its reputation and prestige in the community. Therefore, the student must have the necessary attributes of university students and hold them accountable when violating them.
