Kirkuk Technical Institute organizes a seminar entitled (Legal Care for Working Women)

The Woman Affairs Unit organized an intellectual and social guidance seminar entitled (Fanonic Care for Working Women)
The Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the Unit lectured at this seminar.

The seminar showed: Working women have entitlements in the Labor Law 37 of 2015. For example, it is prohibited to force a pregnant or breastfeeding woman to perform additional work or any work considered by the competent health authority harmful to the health of the mother or child, or if the medical examination proves that there is a great risk to the health of the mother or child. It also prohibits the employment of working women in work that is stressful or harmful to health. She also explained that women and night work are not allowed to work at night except for private work.
The seminar aimed to introduce women’s rights stipulated in Law 37 of 2017 for every working woman to know.
The seminar concluded: that working women have rights to pregnancy leave and rest periods, and the labor law preserves them from hard labor and harmful work.
