Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ashti Mahdi Aref, Dean of the Kirkuk Technical Institute, the Department of Electrical Technology organized a scientific course on “The Basics of Microsoft Office” in which the lecture was delivered by:

1. Mrs. Alaa Abdelwahab Aziz Bakr / Masters – Ministerial Contract / Course Director.
2. Instructor Irshad Baktash Saleh / Head of Department.

The course dealt with the most important sub-programs in general for Microsoft Office programs and their most important applications in the scientific and practical fields.

The session indicated the importance of these programs in official and educational institutions.

The course aims at teaching participants about office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and their applications and how to use these programs. It also aims to increase participants’ information using computers and implement some applications in these programs.

The session concluded that:

1. The use of computers in all areas of life facilitates a lot of work and saves time.
2. Increasing awareness of the participants on how to use the computer and how to apply Microsoft Office programs to serve the educational process.
3. Shorten files and effort with the least possible storage space
