Kirkuk Technical Institute organizes a large-scale afforestation campaign in celebration of the National Afforestation Day

On the occasion of the National Afforestation Day, the Kirkuk Technical Institute organized on the morning of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, a wide afforestation campaign, in cooperation with the Technological Incubator Unit and the scientific departments, and with the participation of the Services Division / Agricultural Unit and the volunteer team of the Institute’s students.
The campaign was held in the presence of the scientific and student assistant to the dean, as well as heads of departments, professors, affiliates, and volunteer students, where a large number of trees were planted throughout the institute, which contributes to improving the environment and enhancing green spaces.
The campaign aimed to spread environmental awareness among students and affiliates, encourage them to pay attention to green spaces, contribute to reducing environmental pollution, and promote a culture of volunteer work among young people.
At the end of the event, participants stressed the importance of continuing such initiatives to promote environmental awareness, expressing their aspiration for more activities aimed to improve the university environment .
