The symposium aims to explain the importance and role of educational institutions in developing security awareness, based on the role of education in building the values ​​of society and immunizing its members from manifestations of breach of its security and stability.

The symposium addressed the role of the educational institution in promoting the spirit of citizenship as a foundation for national security and the role of security awareness and its requirements in Iraqi universities.

The symposium referred to the requirements of establishing intellectual security in educational and educational institutions, and its role in rejecting violence and extremism as an entry point for consolidating security awareness, as well as determining the impact and influence of the educational process on intellectual security.

The symposium showed the foundations that must be focused on to achieve security awareness, which can be summed up in building the principles of scientific education qualified for a social life when finding the appropriate theoretical and practical psychological foundation for the upbringing of good citizenship among students.
