Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Rafee Mahmood, the Continuing Education Center and the Department of Scientific Affairs organized a workshop entitled “Teaching Methods Courses towards Integrated Education by the updated curriculum,” in cooperation with the Department of Studies, Planning, and Monitoring at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Present at the workshop was Assistant Professor Dr. Fawaz Fadel Ali, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs at the Northern Technical University and a member of the expert committee in the curriculum update program for teaching methods courses. The workshop addressed an overview of the updated curriculum adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Acceleration Laboratories affiliated with the UNDP and renowned international experts in the field of teaching methods, with the participation of a select group of teaching methods experts from Iraqi universities.
The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Amer Farhan Sheet, Director of the Continuing Education Center at the Northern Technical University, who explained the center’s contributions in enhancing the academic capacities of instructors from the universities of Nineveh in particular, and Iraqi universities in general. The workshop was attended both physically and online via the Zoom platform by the directors of the Continuing Education Centers at Nineveh University and Tal Afar University, as well as several instructors from the Northern Technical University and other Iraqi universities.
