Hawija Technical Institute organizes a scientific symposium on (components of the electrical network)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Hawija Technical Institute, the Department of Electrical Technology organized a scientific symposium on (the components of the electrical network(

The lecture was delivered at the symposium by Assistant Professor Dr. Bilal Abdullah Nasser, the teaching staff in the department, and a number of the institute’s employees and teachers participated in it.

The seminar dealt with:

  1. The main parts of the electrical network, where there are two types of electric power transmission lines, one for high pressure and the other for distribution as medium pressure transmission lines.
  2. Types of power transmission shafts for high, medium and low pressure.
  3. Learn about insulators and their types.
  4. Identifying power transmission cables and their types.

The seminar indicated that there is an urgent need for knowledge of the main components of the electrical network, especially by specialist engineers and technicians.

The symposium aimed to provide the participants with the latest technical information on the components of the electrical network and the three types of electrical voltage (high, medium and low(

The seminar came out with the following recommendations:

  1. Expanding the topics of the symposium and turning it into a scientific session.
  2. Addressing the modern types of electrical network components.
  3. The necessity of distinguishing between components, equipment and devices according to the type of transmission network.
