Hawija Technical Institute organizes a course entitled (Legal Protection of Human Rights)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Hawija Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, and in cooperation with the Community Police Department in Kirkuk and the Hawija Lawyers Chamber, the Institute is organizing an educational and educational course entitled: (Legal Protection of Human Rights)

The lecture was delivered by:

  • Dr. Attia Suleiman Khalifa
  • Dr. Raad Hamza Awwad
  • Colonel Ghaleb Ali Saleh
  • Lawyer Abdul Karim Al-Sanjari

It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees and students

The session covered:

  1. Introducing human rights
  2. Introduction to legal protection
  3. Determine legal means to protect human rights
  4. Learn about the different types of legal protection
  5. Ways to activate the legal protection of human rights

The session indicated:

  • Legal protection is an effective means of protecting human rights.
  • The law is the best way to deal with negative situations in society.
  • Legal awareness is an effective weapon in the face of criminal tendencies, intellectual extremism, and fanaticism of all kinds.
  • Procedural issues are an essential tool for activating the legal role in protecting human rights.

The course aimed to:

  • Increasing legal awareness as an effective means of protecting human rights
  • The law is the most appropriate instrument for the protection of human rights
  • Determine the legal means by which human rights can be protected
  • The session came out with the following recommendations:-
  • Work to increase legal awareness by various possible means through education, guidance, and awareness processes
  • Activating the legal role in confronting human rights violations
  • Facilitating legal procedures in registering lawsuits and quickly resolving them and addressing those violations
  • Work to find legal deterrence in the face of human rights challenges by activating preventive, procedural, and curative means.
