2023-04-25“For the first time at the Northern Technical University, mushroom cultivation and production has been implemented in the College of Agricultural Technology.
Under the direction of the President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technology, Dr. Shahab Ahmed Youssef, and with the follow-up of the head of the Plant Production Techniques Department, Assoc. Prof. Fahad Khalaf Yassin, and as part of the productive activities of the Plant Production Techniques Department, the necessary environment for mushroom cultivation and production has been prepared by the following:

Ms. Habiba Mohamed Taqi
The necessary iron shelves for agriculture, as well as fertilizers and other requirements, were provided. After that, mushroom spawn was planted in mid-February and production began in early April. The project is considered one of the successful productive projects, and it is the first of its kind in the College of Agricultural Technology and the Northern Technical University. The goal of the project is to produce mushrooms and benefit from them in training and educating college students in support of the educational process.”
