The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology is one of the scientific and medical departments at the Polytechnic College of Hawija, affiliated with the Northern Technical University. The department was established in 2014 with the aim of preparing specialized technical staff in the fields of pathological analysis and medical laboratories.

The department contributes to qualifying students who possess both theoretical and practical skills in conducting various laboratory tests, including chemical and biological tests, using modern equipment and technologies. This enables them to work efficiently in health institutions, as well as in government and private laboratories.

The department’s teaching relies on modern scientific curricula that combine academic and practical aspects. It includes a teaching staff specializing in the fields of life sciences, microbiology, clinical chemistry, pathological tissues, and other precise medical specialties.
