The Department of Electrical Technologies was established in the academic year 2008/2009. The department has made significant progress in developing a research base for the manufacturing of laboratory equipment through student projects and the scientific research of faculty members. There are eight specialized laboratories equipped with devices and tools to conduct practical experiments for students at various levels. Additionally, the department has an electrical-mechanical workshop and a maintenance workshop designed to train students in key tasks they may encounter post-graduation. The department is one of the largest technological departments in the institute in terms of student numbers and specialized laboratories.
