Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Professor Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajari, the Quality Assurance Division, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department at the University Presidency, and within sustainable development activities, organized a workshop entitled: “The Importance of Green Chemistry in Sustainable Development.” – Present from: Dr.. Hala Aouf Abdul Rahman. • The workshop aimed to: • Increased safety of final chemical products • Reducing the production of hazardous waste • Reducing the use of non-renewable materials in chemical production processes. • Designing and creating new biodegradable chemicals, where chemical products are designed to decompose into harmless substances after use, so that they do not accumulate in the environment.

• The workshop came up with several recommendations, the most important of which are: • Adopting green strategies in all our work • Investing and planning for more green research and projects • Adopting green laboratories in which students use safe materials to conduct experiments but are effective in achieving learning goals.
