Under the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, the college organized a panel discussion entitled (Bees, their types, and the most important pests that affect bees and ways to combat them) on the Google meet platform. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Alaa Younis Safawi

The episode aimed to:

• Choosing the right place for setting up apiaries far from factories, laboratories, and homes, and close to food and water sources.
• Choosing quiet breeds that are not inclined to stalk, such as Carniolan bees.
• Importing pest-free bees, whether they are insect or disease pests
• Conducting periodic, weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly checks in the winter season to ensure the safety of cells from infections.
• Ensuring the presence, safety, and activity of the queen in the hive.
