Northern Technical University participates in a training course on “Promoting Youth Rights at Work in Iraq”

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University- Prof. Dr. Alya’ Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of vice president for scientific affairs-Prof. Dr. Omar Rafi’ Mahmood,

the university, represented by CDC, participated in the activities of the training course entitled “Promoting Youth Rights at Work in Iraq” Updating and adapting the ILO (International Labor Organization) manual and work tools, which was held by Rwanka Foundation in cooperation with the ILO. The training course, in which a number of representatives of relevant government institutions and departments participated, highlighted:

– Enhancing awareness of the rights of young people in the labor market and the private sector and developing work tools in line with ILO standards.

– Challenges facing young people in the labor market and ways to adapt national legislation to international standards.

This participation comes as part of the Northern Technical University’s continuous efforts to enhance the capabilities and skills of young cadres and prepare them to enter the labor market and the private sector, thus contributing to achieving sustainable development in Iraq and reducing unemployment in society.
