The Northern Technical University organized a joint scientific seminar on artificial intelligence in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University to enhance academic cooperation.

Under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Omar Rafea Al-Omar, the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations held the first scientific seminar in the field of artificial intelligence as part of the “British–Iraqi Academic Bridge” initiative, in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University.

The seminar witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and academics from both universities, featuring a series of specialized scientific lectures, most notably:

* Dr. Imtiaz Khan – Data Science and Industry 4.0 (Cardiff Metropolitan University)
* Dr. Haider Talal – Cryptography and Chaos in Cryptography (Northern Technical University)
* Dr. Angesh Anupam – Data Science and Sustainability (Cardiff Metropolitan University)
* Dr. Razan Abdul Hamid – Zero Trust Security (Northern Technical University)
* Dr. Issam Damaj – Intelligent Systems (Cardiff Metropolitan University)
* Dr. Ali Qasim Saeed – Artificial Intelligence in Glaucoma Detection (Northern Technical University)

The seminar aimed to enhance academic collaboration and exchange expertise in artificial intelligence and modern technologies, while also opening new avenues for scientific communication between researchers from both sides.

Key outcomes of the seminar include:

* Initiating direct communication between researchers from both universities to develop joint research projects
* Agreement to continue collaboration in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies
* Laying the groundwork for future joint scientific events and workshops
