The Engineering Technical College / Mosul discussed a technical master’s thesis specializing in electrical engineering techniques tagged: Improve the performance of cage Rotor induction Motor Based on Finite Element Method
The thesis submitted by the researcher (Heba Essam Aziz) examined the use of the method of adopting the optimal model for the rods of the rotating part by using more than one shape and changing the dimensions of these shapes. The sons added a complete model of the induction motor by adopting the finite element method and using the ANSYS Electronic program, which is used for the first time in the university. The thesis concluded that the effect of the rotor bars has a very significant impact on the performance of induction motors.
The thesis aims to: – Design an induction motor that addresses the problems that this type of motor suffers from by changing the geometry of the rotor part, as well as reducing the fluctuation in the torque generated by the motor as a result of the traditional shape of the rotor part.
The thesis recommended adopting the model that was designed to produce an electric motor with high specifications and efficiency while reducing the losses generated by it.
