DIGITAL Imaging Using Drones for Remote Sensing in Agriculture Field
The thesis submitted by a graduate student (Noor Abdel Hafez Sahri) explored the possibility of combining deep learning based on a neural network (CNN) with digital imagery from drones, which is a new technique for classifying multiple plants.
The thesis aimed at addressing the conservation of tree vegetation cover to classify the different densities of trees distributed in different locations of the forest, with the detection of olive trees affected by diseases.
The thesis recommended the possibility of using the proposed system by people working in the field of agriculture to monitor agricultural fields remotely and the possibility of using this system in classifying plant diseases.
