The Technical Institute is organizing an electronic scientific symposium entitled (Green Industry)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, the role, the Department of Prosthetics at the Institute organized an electronic scientific symposium entitled (Green Industry) and on Zoom platform, which is part of the sustainability program implemented by the scientific departments through the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division The axes of the symposium were delivered by the assistant teacher Omar Hassan Mahmoud Al-Tedari in the above department, and the symposium was attended by a number of university employees. The seminar aimed to:

  1. Introducing the concept of green manufacturing and sustainable development and knowing the importance and benefits of green manufacturing.
  2. Defining the components of a sustainable economy and the role of green manufacturing in supporting a sustainable economy.
  3. Knowing the role of the United Nations and international organizations in supporting green industrialization and sustainable development, and facts about the green economy in the Arab countries.

The seminar indicated:

  1. The importance of adopting green manufacturing mechanisms by shifting towards using solar energy to generate electric power instead of using diesel generators, as the cost of using solar cells is lower, in addition to being clean energy that can be stored and used in various aspects of life.
    1. The transition to a green economy requires reviewing and redesigning government policies to stimulate shifts in production, consumption, purchasing, and investment patterns.
    1. The need to improve energy efficiency, shift to low-carbon technologies, and expand the use of renewable energy in the industrial sector.
