The Technical Engineering College in Mosul Holds Its First Session of the College Council .

The session was chaired by the President of Northern Technical University and the Dean of Technical Engineering College in Mosul, with all council members present. During the session, several matters were discussed, including:

– Directives from the President of the University
– Logistical preparations for welcoming first-year students
– Emphasizing the college’s direction toward innovation and development, and adopting modern technologies
– Identifying research indicators in the departments and analyzing strengths and weaknesses
– Utilizing the capabilities of graduate students to present substantial research and scientific achievements
– Activating communication with the private sector to involve it in curriculum development
– Participation in organizing a forum for graduate students and supervisors
– Enhancing communication with students via university and personal emails, and discontinuing the use of social media
– Launching the “Qadam” and “Hip Tech” programs to serve students
– Following up on the Iraqi national classification and QS standards
– Organizing civil defense courses and workshops on risk and emergency management, while prohibiting the use of flammable materials within the college
– Regularly organizing student gatherings and activities with participation from all departments
– Forming committees to follow up on institutional accreditation and international accreditation (ABET)
– Updating the vision, mission, and goals for the scientific departments and reviewing strategies and obstacles
– Ensuring that each department head has a clear impact on developing their department and elevating its status to the top ranks in Iraq
– Matters concerning undergraduate and graduate students
– Administrative and financial affairs related to the college, in addition to other topics listed on the council’s agenda.
