In order to improve the university’s scientific outputs and keep abreast of developments in universities and international institutions in the field of scientific research, especially the applied ones, to provide training and development opportunities for the university’s cadres, and to establish scientific and research cooperation relations with similar research centers inside and outside Iraq, the presidency of the university, represented by the university president, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, was keen On the need to provide advanced scientific research centers in terms of equipment, expertise and productions at the university so that the center’s staff are considered an advisory and scientific tributary to many ministries and state institutions through the various advisory and scientific committees and after the tireless efforts of the university presidency in this field and the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to create The Technical Research Center The President of our university, Dr. Abdel Barr Ahmed Nouri, has assigned the management of the research center, which includes the following departments:

• Department of Oncology and Hematology
• Epidemiology Department
• Department of Natural Medicinal Products
