The President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, attended the meeting of the newly established universities, after the approval of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, to submit a proposal to the legislative authority represented by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee and members of the Parliamentary Education Committee in the House of Representatives to allocate An independent budget in the newly established universities, and with the support of the honorable members of the Iraqi parliament, the meeting was attended by the presidents of Hamdania and Tal Afar University, in person and electronically, the head of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Prof. Dr. Muzahim Qassem Al-Khayat, and a number of deputies and heads of the three technical universities, Karkh University, Al-Qasim Green University, Fallujah University, Samarra University and Sumer University Ibn Sina University, Oil and Gas University, Jaber Ibn Hayyan Medical University, and the most important items on the meeting’s agenda:

The suffering and concerns of the newly created universities are due to the lack of human resources and infrastructure and the failure to include any projects in the budget or the investment plan. We hope that the proposal will be taken seriously by the legislative authority to solve the suffering of the new universities and come out with fruitful recommendations.
