Upon a joyful invitation from UNESCO/Iraq Branch, Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of NTU, participated in the consultative conference on reviving the spirit of Mosul. The conference was organized by UNESCO/Iraq Branch and took place at the Mosul Cultural Museum. The conference commenced with a speech by Mr. Paolo Fontani, the representative of UNESCO in Iraq, in which he discussed the organization’s ongoing projects. This was followed by a speech by the Governor.
The first day of the conference included several sessions, including a session on supporting education and training, as well as a session on skill development. The conference was attended by the presidents of universities in Ninawa Governorate, the official responsible for the churches in Mosul, and several relevant individuals.
The conference aimed to contribute to the development of plans that promote the revival of the spirit of Mosul, the preservation of its security and stability, and the identification of pathways for implementing the second phase of restoring our beloved city to its former joyful state.
