The Northern Technical University, in the presence of the Chairman of the Provincial Council and in collaboration with the Nineveh Agriculture Directorate

launched its first tree-planting campaign initiated by the Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council at our university’s Rashidiya site. Under the patronage of Dr. Aliyah Abbas Ali Al-Atar, President of the Northern Technical University, and Dr. Ahmad Al-Hassoud, Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council, the campaign aims to enhance the university’s historical commitment to afforestation over the past four years and to promote a greener city resilient to climate change. Dr. Al-Atar welcomed the campaign as a continuation of the university’s efforts to beautify both the institution and the city, reflecting its culture and history. The Chairman praised the university’s significant contributions to community service and promised ongoing support for its initiatives.
