Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and the supervision and presence of Assistant Prof. Dr. Omar Rafi Mahmoud, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and within the guidance week launched by the university, the Peaceful Coexistence Unit organized a student symposium on the decision of the Ministry of Interior to combat content offensive to public taste, where Colonel Abdullah presented The Director of the Community Police and his accompanying delegation gave a detailed explanation of the national, humanitarian and social dimensions of this decision, stressing the role of youth in limiting the spread of degrading content by participating in the “Balg” campaign that supports the security services, to reach all those who seek to corrupt society and reduce its risks to the value system of society.
At the beginning of his speech, the Assistant President of the University called for the necessity of concerted efforts as security men, citizens, affiliates, and students to advance our society to the ranks of high societies and preserve our originality as people who taught the world the origins of the alphabet, by spreading the authentic cultural and civilizational awareness of our society and not promoting the negative phenomena that are alien to it. The university students gave several poems and enthusiastic speeches that glorified the love of the homeland. In conclusion, the assistant president of the university presented, on behalf of the university lady, a certificate of appreciation to the lecturers.
