The Peaceful Coexistence Unit organized a diverse cultural event to commemorate the Cultural Harmony Day of Mosul. During the event, the University President delivered a speech that highlighted the holidays and occasions that our beloved country experienced during the months of March and April, where all components of society celebrated their holidays, traditions, and rituals in an atmosphere of joy and peace. She urged the university members and students to intensify their efforts to promote a culture of coexistence and peace within the university campus and society by increasing activities that highlight the heritage and cultural arts that are common to all society components. This included a video presentation about the journey of peaceful coexistence at the university since the liberation of the city from the clutches of terrorism, alongside the presentation of a testimonial for a French volunteer in the field of humanitarian relief as a unique model of coexistence with others… In terms of singing and music, the French delegation performed a singing segment and piano compositions, in addition to various Iraqi heritage songs presented by the “Melody of Life” band, which is considered the first of its kind in Mosul and the Nineveh Plains, with the participation of talented female musicians who possess enchanting voices that reflect their artistic sensibility. The audience, including the university staff and students, rejoiced. At the end of the ceremony, the university president honored the guests, praying for their continuous success and prosperity in their artistic and cultural journey.
