The President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, chaired the first session of the Industrial Advisory Council – in the presence of the Director General of the General Company for Electricity Distribution of the Northern Region, Engineer Zidan Khalaf, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Rafi Mahmood, and all members of the Council. The session began by welcoming everyone, hoping that the results of this session would be good for our university and our community.
The session covered several topics, including:
-Providing a brief overview of the Council members.
– Presenting the most important goals of establishing industrial advisory councils in Iraqi universities.
– Presenting a brief overview of the university’s colleges and institutes in terms of specializations, vision, and goals.
– Joint research cooperation between universities and the public and private sectors to stimulate applied research work.
– Cooperation between government institutions in improving the quality of graduates and their possession of skills that are consistent with the needs of the public and private sectors.
– Solving technical problems in state departments and institutions through research teams at the university and allocating a budget for scientific research through state departments.
